How to Update Bafang Firmware Using BESST Pro
BESST Pro is Bafang’s service and diagnostic software used by authorized dealers and service technicians to update firmware, configure system settings, and perform advanced diagnostics on compatible Bafang-equipped bicycles and tricycles.
The video below shows you how to connect to a compatible Bafang system and update the firmware using BESST Pro. Firmware updates may be released to improve performance, add functionality, or address known issues. Installing the latest approved firmware can help ensure the system operates as intended.
Before beginning, verify that the battery is adequately charged and that all electrical connections are secure. Do not disconnect the BESST Pro tool, power off the system, or remove the battery during the update process, as doing so may interrupt the firmware installation and potentially render a component inoperable.
Follow the steps below to connect the BESST Pro tool, identify the installed firmware versions, and update the system to the latest available release.
