Use the following procedure to check the battery mount for a short circuit.

Tools Required

* Digital multimeter with Continuity or Resistance (Ω) function

Test Procedure

1. Turn the power OFF on the e-bike.
2. Remove the battery from the e-bike.
3. Set the multimeter to Continuity or Resistance (Ω) mode.
4. Place the ◼ black probe on the negative (-) battery power contact of the battery mount.
5. Place the ◼red probe on the positive (+) battery power contact of the battery mount.
6. Observe the multimeter reading.

Results

* No continuity (OL or high resistance): The battery mount is not shorted.

* Continuous beep or resistance near 0 Ω: A short circuit may be present in the battery mount, wiring, or controller. Contact Technical Support for further diagnosis.
